Emailing Customers on the Waiting List

1. Create a new message

This is for customers to receive once their course is available to be booked:

  1. Go to ADMIN > CONFIG > MESSAGE
  2. Click CREATE MESSAGE
  3. Select GENERAL (type) and choose EMAIL MESSAGE.
  4. Click ADD.
  5. Now enter some text to inform customers that they can now book this activity (use example below for reference):

Example of Waiting List General (type) Email Message:

Dear {$FirstName} {$Surname},

Thank you for waiting, your activity is now available to be booked.

Please click the below link to book.

Note: you must include the merge tag - {$WaitingListLink} in the email message for customers to be able to book.

 

2. Email customers who have submitted to be on the Waiting List:

Once a user has been put on the waiting list, the next action once the schedule clears up is to notify the customers that they can book again.

  1. Go to BOOKINGS > WAITING LIST.
  2. There will be an GROUP OPERATION at the top of the list - called EMAIL WAITING LISTERS.
  3. Select the bookings within the Waiting List (or SELECT ALL).
  4. Then choose which message you want to send to the list from the dropdown.
  5. Once satisfied, click EMAIL.
    These customers will now receive the email message and once they click on the WaitingList email link will be taken back to the original activity they wanted to book, with their purchaser details still remembered - they can they continue using the booking process as normal.
