Overview

Depending on your setup, you can initiate a booking from the manifest, from the main website or from within BOOKINGS module and clicking the "NEW BOOKING" button.

There are 5 steps to making a booking.

  1. Booking Page: This is where you choose the location, quantity, date and time.
  2. Basket Page: This is where you can apply a promo code, continue shopping or checkout.
  3. Billing Page: This is where you enter the purchase and participant information, agree to terms etc.
  4. Payment Page: This is where you pay for the order.
  5. Confirmation Page: This is where your order is confirmed and an email is sent.

Admin Note: When you've finished making a booking for a customer, click "reset current booking" once on the Confirmation Page before beginning to make the next admin booking. This just clears the booking from the system, to ensure it doesn't interfere with your next booking. It can also be pressed if you've made a mistake using Super-Edit and want to restart.


 

 How to make multiple bookings at once

Overview

When you initiate a booking, sometimes the customer will want more than booking item e.g. different activities/accommodation/vouchers.

See below for the steps on how to take multiple booking items in one booking session:

  1. Select the booking item that the customer first requires.
  2. Booking Page - This is where you choose the location, quantity, date and time - "2 x Archery Lessons".
  3. Click the "ADD TO BASKET & CONTINUE button at the bottom of the Booking Page. 
  4. Basket Page - you've arrived at the Basket Page where the customers order so far is outlined. Once you're on the basket page, your order is saved.
  5. Now click CONTINUE SHOPPING or go back to the homepage/activity page to book the next activity/accommodation/extra.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 again if you wish you add more items to the customers basket, otherwise click CHECKOUT to proceed to the Billing Page, Payment Page, and Confirmation Page to complete the booking.

Admin Note: When you've finished making a booking for a customer, click "reset current booking" once on the Confirmation Page before beginning to make the next admin booking. 

 

 

 How to book multiple activity price categories in one session

Overview

When you want to book multiple different price categories, you follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Select the booking item that the customer requires.
  2. Booking Page - This is where you choose the location, activity price category, date and time - "2 x Child, Archery Lessons". 
    Note: You can select more than one activity price category e.g. "1 x Adult, Archery Lesson; 2 x Child, Archery Lessons; 1 x Senior, Archery Lessons".
  3. Click the "ADD TO BASKET & CONTINUE button at the bottom of the Booking Page. 
  4. Basket Page - you've arrived at the Basket Page where the customers order so far is outlined. Once you're on the basket page, your order is saved.
  5. If you wish to book multiple activities, please read the above section - "How to make multiple bookings at once".

 How to make a goodwill booking

BookingLive never actively promotes the idea of zeroing out customers bookings or taking an amount of the booking cost of the total amount - but this section will show you how to offer goodwill amounts if the occasion arises.

Continue as you normally would, the steps to making a booking:

  1. Booking Page: This is where you choose the location, quantity, date and time.
  2. Basket Page: This is where you can apply a promo code, continue shopping or checkout.
  3. Billing Page: This is where you enter the purchase and participant information, agree to terms etc.
    Note: The system links bookings by email address. 
    When making Admin Bookings remember to use different email addresses for all bookings. Failing to do so, all bookings will appear as they were made for the last person who had a booking made with that email address.
  4. Payment Page: This is where you pay for the order. When logged into the Booking System as ADMIN with Booking Permissions, you will be shown the opportunity to offer a "GOODWILL AMOUNT" to the current booking.
  5. Enter the goodwill amount, and choose the payment method - provisional, cash, card.
  6. Click COMPLETE to get to the Confirmation Page or directed to the Payment Merchant (if card payment).

 

 How to rebook a booking

If you want to rebook an existing customer you use the REBOOK button on an existing booking reference number.

Note: To book members, you also use the rebook button.

  1. Go to BOOKINGS.
  2. Use the search filter to find the customers/members existing booking.
  3. Click into the booking to bring up that customers main booking screen.
  4. Click the REBOOK button at the bottom to rebook the customer/member onto a new activity/accommodation/extra of their choice.
