Public Sector Booking Systems and Website Use

Ben Proctor, Managing Director at The Likeaword Consultancy has examined data from over 400 councils within the UK. Ben set out to find out more about website usage within the public sector and came across some very interesting findings. For starters, 43% of public sector website visitors were from mobile and tablet devices throughout 2015, yet less than half of public sector websites are mobile responsive. It is clearly of up-most importance that the public sector make their websites mobile-ready. Less and less people are accessing the internet via desktop devices, so chances are they're going to be less able to find what they're looking for. This will lead to them either ignoring services or picking up the phone to ask questions, which will drain the public sector's resources further.

Customers can turn up at any time during the swimming pool's opening hours and get to swim for a certain period e.g. one hour. The same system which manages this can then be applied across multiple locations.

A beautiful, effective website and a great online marketing strategy go hand-in-hand. If people can't find your website, having a great website is pointless. Not only do they improve customer satisfaction, but they also reduce time spent on admin tasks such as replying to the same questions over and over again via phone and email.

Improving Your Customers' Booking Software Journey

Our latest V3 update comes in the form of a booking software journey revamp. As the customer journey your customers experience is as important to us as the experience you have, we are continually investing in the front-end of Booking Live software. That is why we are currently rolling out a new improvement in the form of dropdown displays during the booking software journey. These are visible during the first and second stages of the booking software journey; 'choose items' and 'your basket'. This new feature is especially useful for businesses and organisations who have customers booking on to multiple products (activities/courses/classes etc.) across multiple times and dates.
